Madrid is a colorful city. You don’t need to go to museums to see art, streets, restaurants, and metro stations are filled with it. Hey, what is this Russian guy doing here!? (photo 9) No vodka for him! :)

Мне повезло попасть на настоящее фламенко (фото 11, 12). Мужчины пели, хлопали и играли на гитаре так будто у них в горле ком страданий, будто они в последний раз признаются в любви до гроба, а женщина в красном танцевала так будто все части ее тела заряжены электричеством, и каждое их движение выплескивает страсть, грацию, гордость и столетиями накопленную боль испанских женщин.

I was lucky to witness a real flamenco (photos 11, 12). The men sang, clapped and played the guitar as if they had a lump of sorrow in their throat, as if they were declaring their love to the grave for the last time, and the woman in red danced as if all parts of her body were charged with electricity, and their every move released passion, grace, pride and centuries of accumulated pain of Spanish women.

Religion

В многочисленных церквях Мадрида подчеркивая набожность испанцев, царит грандиозное многоголосие позолоты прошлых веков, и витает едва уловимый дух Инквизиции. Церковь Nuestra Senora de la Almudena (фото 1-4).

В хостеле я познакомилась с Дианой. Мы сразу подружились и облазили весь город, рестораны, выставки, стройки, ночные кафе, как настоящие исследователи, с фото-пушками на перевес. Диана из Роттердама, и объездила весь мир. Гаспачо (фото 7), друзья (14-16). Мы здорово и интересно провели время вместе.

In the hostel I met Diana. We immediately became friends and roamed all of the city, restaurants, exhibitions, construction, night cafes, like true explorers, with camera across the shoulder. Diane is from Rotterdam, and she traveled the world. Gazpacho (photo 7), friends (14-16). We had a great and interesting time together.
